Looking back, I now realize my parents made me feel how special I was and in return made me feel like Dec 5th was magical. Talking to other people they all feel the same way about their Bday. What a ray of sunshine!! Pollyanna has an operated spina bifida and the prognosis about her possibility to walk independently is very good.

Pollyanna is a delight! She is very active, outgoing, pretty mobile and very independent. The volunteers are saying that she has very strong-minded and charismatic personality.

What a volunteer said about "Pollyanna" in May 2010:

I met with Pollyanna at the orphanage totally by accident. Taking into consideration Pollyanna's health issues, she is pretty mobile and very independent. She is crawling well. She crawled to me right away and started climbing onto my lap, babbling and COMMUNICATING. If not for that, I would have definitely missed her in all the commotion. This child has been working so hard to get this tiny little chance that all the adults thought she hadn't had. I hope that we won't betray Pollyanna and will be able to help her. Pollyanna is a delight! She is very active and outgoing. She is a chatterbox and speaks quite clearly. She is absolutely adorable. A miracle you wouldn't expect. Pollyanna is stretching forward and fighting for life with all her might!"

He is the little boy that I have been assigned to pray him home. He turns 3 Nov 10th. That is just a few days away! In orphanages they don't celebrate Birthdays or give gifts or have cake. In fact, I doubt they even acknowledge Birthdays. It is sad! And he needs a Mommy and a Daddy to show him love. He will not be adopted in his country. He has no future there. I wish I had more info on him, like cute little stories that he did. Something along the lines as, today I got to play go fish with Paul and the whole time we played the game he had a smile from ear to ear. He wanted to play the game over and over! But I don't have any stories about Paul but I do know that he is just precious in his picture and I know he needs a family! Please consider adopting Paul and if you can't please send out prayers and if you can donate to his grant $5, 10, 20, anything would help! They say its not that there aren't enough couples/people willing to adopt internationally, its the cost that puts up the road block. Halloween is on Monday and I hope everyone has a good one! I wonder what Paul would want to be if he made it home by next Halloween? A super hero maybe? I bet he would be smiling ear to ear then too!

What Happens If These Babies Are Not Adopted

These two babies in the pictures are not babies at all. The girl is 12 years old. That's right..12!! She is sitting in a baby bouncer and she weighs 11 pounds! Most babies are born at 11 pounds! The boy is 6 years old and he weighs 12 pounds. Again...12 pounds! I don't even know how these two children are alive! But this is the sad fact about what happens to kids if they are not adopted while they are in the baby house and are transferred to institutions at ages 4 to 6 years old. The good news is these two children were in institutions that still allowed adoption (most do not allow adoptions once they are transferred) and they do have families coming for them! But there are thousands just like them sitting in a bed day after day after day..dying. And the sad fact is that all the kids on Reeces Rainbow that are not adopted will end up like these two kids.

Here is a link to a wonderful site that has a video of what happens to these babies if they are not adopted by age 4 to 6 years old and where they go. It is a long video but you can skip to 24 min and see the institution. The laying down room where a lot of these kids end up. It is heart breaking to say the least! So please say a prayer that all these kids on Reece's Rainbow to find homes and if you can donated anything that will also help!! This website is run by a wonderful person who went to Russia to volunteer at the orphanages and she fell in love with so many wonder babies and she advocates for them to find Mommy's and Daddy's! This one hits right in the center of my heart! A sweet baby girl up for international adoption who has cystic fibrosis. That is what my boys have. To think this baby is in an orphanage just breaks my heart because I can only imagine that she is not getting the full medical treatment every day that cf people need. It is tough to think that if the workers are too bust at lunch time she may not get her medicine to eat and then later her stomach will hurt as a result. It is hard to think that she may not be getting the breathing treatments she needs every day in order to breath. It is hard to think about what happens when she gets sick and may need to go to the hospital but she won't go because she is in an orphanage. This little girl is precious and she deserves to have all the available medication that is out there for cf and she deserves to have a loving Mommy and Daddy to hold her when she is not feeling good. Diagnosis: Cystic Fibrosis, caloric-malnutrition

Braska has CF. She also has problems with her digestion and absorption of nutrients and is on a high calorie diet as a result. She currently takes the medications, Creon and Linex to assist with these issues, which are believed to be contributed to the CF.

Braska is developing well for her young age. She walks independently, crouches, sits and stands up on her own. She goes up and down stairs with support. She can throw a ball in a box. She draws vertical and horizontal lines with a pencil. She folds paper. Her speech is emerging. She pronounces combinations of sounds and syllables and will imitate short words. She follows verbal directions. She plays with toys. She enjoys playing hide-and-seek. She likes to dance while listening to music. She interacts with other children and adults appropriately. She laughs out loud when teased. She seeks out help from an adult when she needs it.

Baby Boy Adoption

I thought I would write a little about what has been going on in my life before posting the info of the sweet boy that needs a family. But don't worry, I will post info of sweet Nolan at the end.

I took a break from my blog a couple years ago because I don't really think anyone was reading it and I needed a break. Things for us as a family are great. Both my boys are doing great dealing with cf and we still try to make that as small of a piece of their life as we can. Branson is currently doing home IV's for a tune-up. This is his 3rd week. It was suppose to only be for two weeks but the first antibiotic didn't do a good of a job as we hoped so the doctor changed his med and we will see where we are at after a week on this one. For Branson it is always something about this time of year. I am not sure if it is allergies or just the one year since his last tune-up wearing off but I always hope he can skip a year but so far no luck. Maybe next year.

Kyler is doing good. He is in 7th grade now. Middle school. Wow! How did that happen? I feel like I was in middle school just yesterday. And believe me..the issues with middle school that I had are still issues today. Yuk! I really don't miss middle school! Kyler did get to skip a couple of years of tune-ups but this past summer he had to have polyps removed so we went ahead and did a tune-up since he would be in the hospital anyway.

Jade is in pre-school now but acts like she is a teenager! She is doing good with her diabetes and she is very intune with her body. She is still using the omni pod insulin pump. Her teachers are very good with her and her needs at school. I was really worried about it before we got her into school but I refuse to let diabetes hold her back and so far my fears were a waste of my time because her school has done an excellent job with her!

So I haven't written on my blog in a couple of years but I have kept up with other blogs. And how I found Reeces Rainbow was through a blog that I followed. The blog I followed was about a family that had a child with medical issues. At one point they decided to adopt through Reece's Rainbow and I followed their blog all the way through the adoption. Their daughter was beautiful but after they got her home she really just blossomed! It was amazing seeing how different and beautiful their daughter became after being home only a short couple of months. Since then I have followed many other blogs that have adopted through RR and every SINGLE child turned into a different child after just a few short weeks home. Everyone blossomed! I love watching that miracle unfold with each child.

Looking through the pictures of each child on RR just breaks my heart. I wanted to do something to help. I want all those kids to have a Mommy and Daddy! So that is why I decided to start the blog up again. I don't know how to get people to look at my blog? Anyone know any tricks? I try to make titles that might be words people google in hopes that my blog will show up. And I donate when I can and I pray ALL the time for those children! I can't keep images out of my mind about those kids going to bed with no hugs, hungry, lonely, scare. The saddest part is knowing that when they turn 5 or 6 they head off to mental institutions.

Yesterday I was going to post a picture of a little girl that I had been praying for to find a Mom and Dad for awhile. Her name was Bridgett. She was 5 and I knew her time was running out. She was a blond hair, blue eyed beauty. She had HIV. Her birth Mom refused her at birth. A couple that was at her orphanage adopting her best friend blogged about how Bridgett asked every day if she had a Mama and a Papa coming...Broke my heart to read that! They talked about how sweet she was and how she loved little bitty toys and heart stickers. They talked about how hard she cried when they walked out of the gates with their daughter, her best friend for the last time.

So I prayed for her and I donated to her fund and yesterday when I went to find her info and picture on RR it was gone. My heart started beating fast and I hoped it would be on the page "My Family Found Me." I frantically scrolled down that page and her picture was not there. I cried. The only thing it could mean is she has been transferred to a mental institution and she is no longer available for adoption. Her time ran out. Oh how my heart is hurting for her! A six year old little girl in a mental institution because she has HIV. Unthinkable! No toys, no education, no swings or slides. They will have a bed and food if they are lucky. Most children do not make it two years once they are transferred. All I can do is pray for her now.

But I will continue to advocate for these kids and hope people find my blog and hope that God will tug at their hearts. For all those who are coming and reading my blog Thank You!!! And now here is a sweet little boy up for adoption through RR..

Nolan is such a handsome boy! He needs a loving family!

From his medical records: long-term effects of some early trauma, slight mental delay, flat feet, farsightedness. He has fine motor skills, understands everything, he talks but it is hard to understand him. Nolan is very physically active, happy and cooperative, friends with other children.

These children are truly living on borrowed time, and families should be home study approved before an official commitment can be made for this child.

Nolan is 7 years old and he is already at a mental institution. But it is a mental institution that will allow kids to still be adopted so that is the great news! The bad news is the mental institution that he is at is a bad one! A lot of kids die of starvation at this institution. The fact that he has held on this long is a miracle! As I have said before RR takes you through the international adoption process from beginning to end. So please if you are considering adoption please consider Nolan. From what I understand his flat feet are (were) the worst of his conditions. A lot of times when they say mental delay it is because they have never been to school and once they get to the institutions they are kept in their bed day in and day out but I have watched kids come alive once they got home. Hannah is an absolutely adorable, sweetheart girl. She is serious at first, but has such a very sweet smile and is a lovely girl once you get to know her. She makes great eye contact. She loves being in the company of others. Understandably, it takes her a little while to warm up to new people. She is developing well. She is in a decent baby house with caring nannies. She is in a small group with a good caregiver to child ratio. The children have access to outdoor time, a sensory room and physical therapy. Unrelated children can be adopted simultaneously.

HIV is a virus that claims many innocent lives when children do not have access to antiretroviral medications. Fortunately, it is treatable and the children who have access to meds and adhere to their treatment have good long-term prognosis.

Children born to women with the virus have a chance of becoming HIV positive due to mother-to-child-transmission. These children are innocent carriers of the virus.

The children you see below are currently living in institutions. Sadly, if they end up aging out of institutional life, there is a high likelihood they will be ill on the streets in a life of crime.

This little boy is Paul. He lives in an orphanage in Eastern Europe and he has HIV. He is available for international adoption. He needs an American or a Canadian Mommy and Daddy to cross an ocean and adopt him.This sweet little boy has no chance of being adopted in his country nor does he have a future in his country. Orphans in Eastern Europe stay at their baby houses (orphanages) until they are 4 to 6 years old and at that time they will be transferred to a mental institution where most do not survive the first two years. If they do survive then they are aged out of the institution at age 16. They will not have any schooling therefore will be left out on the streets trying to fend for themselves with no money, no education and no hope. Biggest Wishing Well Ever

My sweet Branson!! I love how you see the world. Back in Nov on our way to see my parents in Amarillo we were driving and Branson gets all excited and says "Kyler look at that big wishing well!!! It's the biggest wishing well ever!!!" We all look over to where Branson is pointing and it is some sort of grain holder in a field. It did look like a wishing well once Branson said that. He then asked how could you throw a penny in to make a wish because it was about 3 or 4 stories tall. I will never forget that day!! Branson, may you always find the biggest wishing wells ever and may you always find ways to get those pennys in to make your wishes!! Don't forget, you were my wish come true!!! I love you Branson!!!!

School's Out For Summer!!

I am done with school as of this week!! I am still waiting on grades but have my fingers crossed for A's! My kids are not out of school till June 5th so I have a few days till we are all home. I am not going to school during the summer because my kids will be home but I am ready for a break and some traveling!! I had a lot of fun this semester at school and am really glad I went back. I met a lot of great people and some really great friends!!

Boys are doing great and Jade is also doing great! We got her the omnipod pump for her diabetes and it is going pretty good with it! It is a wireless pump that has a remote to put in what she eats, ect. We are pretty excited because the part that goes on Jade is really small but in Dec omnipod is coming out with an even smaller version that is suppose to be 40% smaller by lenght and width!! That is just amazing to me because it is already so small!! The technology is pretty amazing with the omnipod too!!

Veggies And Kids

Little kids are so in tune with what their bodies need. It really just amazes me to watch little kids eat. Usually we have a meat, a carb and a vegie for each dinner. Ex- grilled chicken, rice and broccoli. Every time I set a plate in front of Jade she goes for the veggie first. EVERY TIME! She will finish that and then maybe eat a little meat and carb. Sometimes she will have 2nds and 3rds of the veggie and at times that is all she will eat, just the veggies! Both boys did this as well untill they got a little older. Now with Kyler I have to ask him to take a few bites of his veggies. Brans is still pretty good about eatting his veggies but its not the 1st thing he goes for anymore.

Another thing I notice with Jade is she always asks for furits for a snack. We have cookies, pop tarts, cerials, goldfish cracker, ect, ect, ect and she knows we have all this but she always asks for fruit. Grapes, apples, banannas, oranges, ect.

Lately, when I start craving a snack I force myself to have fruit and after a few days your body really does start craving fruit instead of junk. It just amazes me how in tune little kids are with their body!! I am taking a lesson and taking notes!

The first time I held Kyler when he was born and looked into his eyes the first thought I had was "Oh no, he knows I have no idea what I am doing!" Then I thought "Why did I think that? He is just a baby and I know what I am doing....kind of." Kyler had such deep eyes that seemed to hold all the answers and all the knowlege of the world. It looked as if he had been in this world a 100 times. This was before we knew anything about cf. I realize now he probably did have some knowlege about what was to come and he was right...I had no idea what I was doing. As I have said before, he has taught me so much! About life, love, happiness, strength, laughter, fun, living, looking on the bright side, smiling and the list goes on and on! But one thing he has taught me is that I 'think' too much!

Kyler looks just like Paul. He has from the start and all I heard when he was born was how much he looked like Paul. 'Paul, he is your mini me.' 'Paul, he is your clone, twin, exact same,can't tell you two apart, Ect, ect, ect. ' I am glad he looks like Paul, after all Paul is very handsome!! So Kyler has his looks going for him thats for sure!! Tall, dark and handsome!! But the inside of Kyler, well thats a different story! Kyler and me have the same brain. Same thinking. Our brains, Kyler's and mine, well we think, think, think and think some more! One thing my dad use to tell me was "get your brain out of it! Your thinking too much!" And he was always right.

We will worry ourselves sick at times. We will make things way more complacated then they are. We will think ourselves right out of the right answer thinking it must not be that easy so it must be harder. We will need to get from A to B but instead of just simply going from A to B we will first go from A to Z to Y to X all the way back to B. Yep, thats me and Kyler. But on a positive note something that is really complex we can somehow find the shortcut or make it easier than thought possible. At times when one must go from Z to A by means of Z to Y to X to W, ect all the way to A me and Kyler will some how figure out we can simply go from Z to A going the other way and not mess with all the other stuff. Yep, complex stuff comes easy to our brain, but easy stuff well we make it more....complex.

Yep, Kyler's mind has been a mirror for me. I can clearly see now how my thinking is. It's not all bad. We have some really interesting thoughts. But when things are not big deal somehow we can make them a big deal just by thinking, thinking, thinking. I have gotten better through the years. Paul has taught me how to cut out all the 'what if's.' If only I knew back then what I know now and of course since I know this I always try to tell Kyler all the secrets I have learned through the years. But like I didn't understand my dad when he told me to get my brain out of it, Kyler doesn't really understand what I am saying. I have to come up with little tricks to help him. An example, in baseball before he goes up to bat, his mind will be spinning and it ends up making him strike out. So I once told him to picture someone's face that you don't like on the ball and you will hit a home run. That worked for him....it shut his mind off from trying to 'think' how to hit the ball to just getting his mind out of it and focused on something else to allow him to hit the ball. Lots of little tricks like that.

Paul laughs all the time, saying how Kyler is me, although sometimes I think Paul wants to cry. Lol! We can come up with really off the wall 'what if's.' It drives Paul crazy but at the same time I think it entertains him.

Yep Kyler looks just like Paul on the outside but me and him, same on the inside!! I love you Kyler with all my heart!! Just remember...I know you with all my heart and head!!

Branson Lost A Tooth!

Branson lost a tooth the other day! I think this is his 3rd or 4th one. So under his pillow it went! And of course the tooth fairy came!! I am pretty sure Branson doesn't believe in the Tooth Fairy anymore (I am sure Kyler is to thank for that) but I sure try and make him believe!

When he woke up he said "guess how much money I got!" I told him how great that was and that the TF must really love him. He looked at me and said "I think it is you." Me.. "You think I am the TF? How would I have time to travel all over the world and give kids money for their teeth and where in the world would I keep all the teeth of all the kids all over the world?" He just looked up at me and you could tell his brain was trying to process that. Then he said "no, just to me." Me.."So you think I am only your TF and that no other kid in the whole world gets money when they lose a tooth? Then how do all the kids know about the TF if I am the TF but only give you money?" Again, he looks up at me and trys to analize what I just said. I was trying hard not to laugh. Finally, he said.."Ok, ok the TF is real." I know he doesn't really believe that but I just want to keep the magic alive as long as I can.

It reminds me of when I was little and my dad use to do a magic trick with a quater. He would put it in his hand and tell me to blow on his hand. Then he would open his hand and the quarter would be gone. Then he would magically pull it out of my ear. I got to a age where I knew it wasn't really magic anymore but still didn't know how he did it. Now my dad does that trick for my kids....Oh how wonderful magic is as a kid and tooth fairys, Easter bunnys, ect, ect, ect...Why do we ever have to leave childhood??

Dear Jade,

We are so blessed to have you as our daughter! I know how lucky we are!! So, so lucky!! I dreamed of having a daughter since I was little and you by far have exceed my expectations!! Each and every day after lunch we go outside to play with all your outside toys. I love watching you play with your huge imagination. Today you were running up to a toy bike and you stopped right in your tracks and looked across the driveway. Something caught your attention. You stood and looked the direction that had caught your attention and after a minute you ran across the drive way and bent over to look at whatever it was that you saw. After a few seconds of looking you picked it up and ran back to me and said "look mama! A baby rock!!" It was so cute!! You felt like you found a treasure in that "baby rock." Then you went on the hunt for more "baby rocks."

After your search you found Kyler's skate board and put it in your wagon. You teetered it across the two seats on each end and sat on the skate board and said "mama push me." And so we went on a walk, me pulling your wagon and you sitting on the skate board in the wagon. You have such a great imagination!! As we were walking I noticed how you started to suck your two middle fingers and were holding on to your hair. I love when you do that! Of course it means you are tried. I asked if you were ready for your nap and of course you said "no!" You quickly took your fingers out of your mouth and pushed your hair back as if I wouldn't notice. We walked back to the house and I put you to bed. As I shut the door you yelled out "nite, nite mama!" And told you that I love you! As I walked down the stairs you yelled out again " Love you mama!" We do this all the time...our little ritual.

I love you, Jade!! Always have, always will!!

I know how blessed I am to have you as my daughter!!!!

Well our trip to Disney was a blast!! We all had so much fun! I only wish it would of lasted longer!! We woke up Branson first the morning we were leaving (remember we didn't tell the kids because we wanted to wake them up and say 'guess where we are going!' ) and told him it was time for school. Brans was like no-o-o-o-o it is Spring Break! Then we told him we are GOING TO DISNEY!!! and he said 'can you carry me down to the car?' Haha! But it wasn't long before he jumped out of bed! Then we went to Kyler's room and told him it was time for school and he was on automatic mode and just got up and started to get ready before he said 'no it's sat!' Then we said we are GOING TO DISNEY!!!!! And he started jumping up and down and asking if we were joking! Jade was excited too but I think more because the boys were!

Right when we got to Florida and got all checked in we got to see the space shuttle launch! It was amazing and we felt very lucky we got to see it!! I have video on the next post down so take a look!

The parks were so much fun and I have a ton of pictures! I will try and get them all up in the next couple of days! Each day after the park we would come back and let the kids go swimming while we sat by the pool and had a margaritta or two :) The pool had a huge priate ship in it with a water slide. The kids loved that!! It was a really fun trip!! Kyler asked if we were going to come back next year and I told him it would probably be more like 3 years so Jade can be a little older although now that we are home I would love to go back next year!!! I would have no problem going every year!!!

Last Disney

Here are a couple of pictures of the last time we went to Disney. They are not real good pictures because I took a picture of the picture in the photo album (cheated, LOL). Kyler had just turned 5 and Branson had just turned 2. We are leaving tomorrow and the kids still have no idea! I can't wait to wake them up tomorrow and tell them where we are going!!! I can't wait! Sweet Jade

Last Sun we went to eat at Pei Wei. We always get edamae and Jade loves edamame but we have to get the soybeans out of the shell for her. Well she was so hungry I couldn't get them out fast enough. At one point she looked up at me and said "more" and did the sign language sign for more. For some reason when she did that it just melted my heart and I almost cried! Even now just thinking about it makes me want to cry. I don't know why because it was so cute but it is just one of those things. She is just so sweet and when she did that it made her even sweeter, if that is even possible. I will never forget how she did that! Never forget the look on her face! Wish I could video tape every second of all the kids!! That was the first time she did the sign language. The last week she was in school they had written on her paper that they learned some sign language but this was the first time she did it. It was amazing to me that she remembered it and knew how to use it!

We are still waiting to hear back from a preschool to see if they will let her in (they have to approve because she now has type 1 diabetes). She really misses school. Everytime we drive by her old one (they couldn't take her anymore because she got diabetes, said they couldn't take on the liability) she points and says "school, school." But I know it will all work out.

Jade's Dr appt went well. We talked about how she does not like the shots and the Dr gave us something called an I-Port. Google I-Port and you can see a picture and how it works. But it is a port that you put in her and it stays in her for 3 days and you give her shots in it so she doesn't feel it!! Then you change it after 3 days. It has made life so much easier! I don't know why they don't tell you about these right off the bat! I think it would make things so much less tramatic for a child when first getting diagnosed! Paul had never heard of them before either but the Dr said they had been out for awhile. Anyway it has made it a lot easier!

This coming Sat morning at 6:00 am (wow, that is early!) we will be waking up the the kids and saying "guess where we are going?" DISNEY!!!!!! We are going to Florida for Spring break with our neighbors that have kids the same age as ours. They are the same friends we went skiing with last spring break. We are driving. That will be the long part but that's ok because last year when we drove to the mountains we had a lot of fun. The kids have no idea. They asked if we were doing anything for spring break and we said we were just going to hang out at home. Kyler said that was ok because he needed to relax. LOL! We can't wait and I promise to take a ton of pictures!!! We took Kyler and Branson when they were 2 and 5 and suprisingly Branson remembers a lot about that trip! I can't wait!!

So I haven't posted in a while...not sure why. Things are going good. Jade has been good, the boys have been good. I have been trying to just process everything I guess. I find myself making up these dumb sayings like....The world just keeps on going, guess I better jump back on or it will run over me. Or .....well now I can't think of all the little saying I have made up in my head the last few days. Wow! Just totally blank! I do know my mind has just been spinning a mile a minute the last few weeks. I feel somewhat disoriented. Not really in a bad way, just my whole normal thinking has been thrown off. All the "why, why, why?" and I just search my brain for some sort of answer. I have come up with a few that make sense to me. I really couldn't type them out...I tried to explain a few to Paul but couldn't really convey what was in my head, although Paul said he understood what I was saying.

The preschool Jade was at told us she couldn't come back. Said they couldn't take on that kind of liability. Ok, fine. I understand that but we payed for the whole month of Feb and she only went till the 9th of Feb so we asked for the rest of the money back. They said fine but we have to give them two weeks notice since we are leaving? What? So we say, but we are not wanting to leave..you are kicking us out so why would we have to pay two extra weeks for a notice? They say, well that's the way we do it. Ok, whatever. It's all about the buck these days. I sure couldn't run a daycare and make a family pay for two weeks because we couldn't take their child any longer because they now had diabetes. I couldn't look anyone in the face and ask for that. But, guess that is just me. Yep, some things really let you get to "know" people.

So one of our friends has been watching Jade for us while I try to finish this semester at school. At first I was just going to quit, but Paul said I should at least finish this semester and see where it goes from there. So far it has all worked out so we will see what happens. Right now we are waiting on another preschool to see if they will let us in. They said it was a good chance they would because they have had kids with diabetes before. The Dr had to write a note and then it goes before the "review board" at this preschool. It is a fancise so it has to go to corporate. She loves school and I hate that this is now a challenge. I told the place we are trying to get into now that I could just have her come a couple days a week and I could pick her up right after lunch so they wouldn't have to do the shot so we will see.

Jade has been as cute as ever! She has really been talking up a storm the last couple of weeks! Saying words she has never said before and just talking, talking, talking! Cute, cute and cute! Me and Jade have always been close (she is my BABY!!) but the last few weeks we have gotten even closer! I love that girl with all my heart and it just grows everyday!!

The boys have been as sweet as ever as well! Kyler started up spring baseball and had his first game tonight! It was a tie but Kyler played really well and got a hit first time up at bat! He made it to 1st base and then ran the bases!! He also played second base and got a kid out on the other team! He was smiling ear to ear he was so proud!! Branson started back up in soccer. His first game is this Sat. He is really excited about it!

Well that is it for now...Jade has her first Dr appt tomorrow so I will let you know how it goes. Although, I am pretty sure it will be fine since Paul knows more than the Dr. LOL! We have to call the Dr every day to give her blood numbers and then the Dr is suppose to adjust the amount of insulin but the Dr has been asking Paul what to do. LOL! She said Jade has had the best numbers and told Paul he should become a diabetes Dr.....You really don't understand it as much unless you have it I guess, even if you are a Dr.

Here are a few pictures of Jade being cute and a few of when she was in the hospital. Her face looks swollen in the pictures at the hospital because they had saline running in her iv trying to hydrate her. Notice her necklace in the hospital pictures, it is a crown with rubys on top of a heart. You can click on the picture (the ones where she is sitting up) and it will enlarge the picture so you can see the necklace better.The boys picked that out for her at the gift shop. It came in a cute little crown box. She liked the box more than anything!

Jade is doing really good this week. When it is time to do blood test (we have to stick her figure for blood) she just gives us her hand. She still cries with the shots and says no, no but she is getting better. Paul can do it so fast she doesn't even see it coming and she doesn't cry when he does it. I am not that good yet.

Tomorrow will be 2 weeks since she was diagnosed. In some ways it feels like forever ago and other ways it feels like yesterday. I have been praying for peace, peace of mind, positive thoughts, acceptance and just how thankful I am of my family and I really feel like it is working. In fact I almost can't believe how fast I have felt acceptance of the whole situation. Of course I am still praying for a miracle and that her diabetes just goes away...guess I haven't totally accepted it...Thanks for everyone's prayers!

Tomorrow is Jade's Birthday!! The big 2! I think we bought every toy at the toy store and a ton of clothes! A girl has to have clothes! We feel very blessed that she is our daughter and love her more than anything in this world!! In fact, we love all our kids more than anything in this world and our love for all of them just grows more and more and more and more everyday!!!! Just when I think I can't love them anymore my heart will quadruple a million time over!! Plus some!!

Tueday Feb 10th, exactly 10 days before my daughter's 2nd Birthday she is diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. Our hearts are shattered into a million pieces. Why? Why? There are no answers I guess. No answers for cf, no answers for diabetes. It has started already...her perfect, beautiful porcelain skin is bruising from the shots she must now take. How many times can I cry? Apparently a lot. She sees me coming with the shot and she instantly starts crying. Then I start crying...again. They say she will get use to it but I know I won't. Just completely breaks my heart. Why? I don't think we have slept since she got home from the hospital. Constantly checking on her. Why can't someone make a monitor to alert you if you have low blood sugar? Guess it is more important to come up with the technology to find the name of a song playing on a restaurant by holding up a phone. Guess I am angry too. How can this happen to a child? A toddler? My baby?

Well today was the day I took my 1st Anatomy test, both Lab and Lecture. I really don't know how I feel about how well I did. There were things I defiantly knew and there were things I am pretty sure I knew and then there were things I kind of remembered but it was more of a guess and then there were the things I just completely had no idea and guessed. So I have no idea what I made. I really want a A but am praying for at least a C. I can honestly say I did all I could do to prepare for this test. There isn't anymore I could of done. I started studying from day 1 so I did the best I could. I am kind of down about it because I wanted to walk out of there knowing I did great with no second thoughts but I will just have to wait till Wed to see how I did. Well time to go study for the next 6 chapters!

I have a busy weekend a head of me studying for my first test on monday. I went to BanesandNobel to try and find a easy to learn anatomy book. Didn't really find anything but did get the book anatomy for dummies because it had practice tests in it. See if that helps me any. Then I went and bought some ear rings to make me feel better....shopping can make almost anything ok!

PayDay Comes A Lot Faster Now!

Well at least it seems that way now! Since I started school back up it feels like the week just flies by! I can sit down to study for what seems like 30 min and 4 hours has gone by! But yet I don't get 4 hours of info in me but more like 30 min? How does that work? My anatomy class has taken over my entire life! We have gone over 5 chapters in two weeks and we have a test on Monday. We have both the Lab test and the Lecture test! Some days I feel that I am ready and other days I feel like I am defiantly not ready. Today I feel like I am not ready! Last night I was dreaming about anatomy!! In my dream I couldn't remember the name of a certain cartilage. I woke up and had to go get my book and look it up otherwise I wouldn't of been able to go back to sleep...it was Hyaline Cartilage btw. I have talk to a couple of other people in different anatomy classes and they told me they went over 1 chapter in two weeks and will have the first test over 1 chapter!!?? How did I not get that teacher?? Dang! Well please send out prayer my way that I am able to do good on my test on Monday! Thank you!!! I really want to do good on it so this weekend will all be about anatomy!

What Branson Remembers!

So driving home from dinner tonight (I-Hop Yum!) Branson started talking about all the things he remembered when we lived in Plano. We moved to Austin when he just turned 4. It was cute all the things he remembered. He remembered our swing set we had in our backyard which brought back the memory for me of when we got that first swing set. We bought it for Kyler when he turned 2. At the time Paul was traveling a lot for work and I remember spending a lot of time with Kyler pushing him on the swing and him singing. Kyler was a big singer when he was small and a lot of time now I will hear him in the other room singing. Branson always liked the slide on the swing set. He would go down it over and over and over and over! That first swing set got a lot of use!

Branson said he remembered our living room in Plano but that he didn't remember his room. That made me kind of sad because he spent a lot of time in his room playing with his trains and hotwheels. He did remember Kyler's room. But he said he remembered the living room the most. We all spent a lot of time in that room too.

Branson also remember always walking to the 'lake' to feed the ducks. There use to be a pond by Kyler's school in Plano and me and Branson would walk to the pond and feed the ducks while we waited for Kyler to get out of school. Branson use to call it the lake. He would always say 'can we walk to the lake and feed the ducks?' It was so cute how he called it the lake and he still calls it by that name today.

The drive home tonight really brought back a lot of good memories of when Kyler and Branson were younger. It really made me realize how much they have grown up and how fast it has all gone. That made me kind of sad too...knowing how much they have grown up in the last couple of years but then again it also made me happy for how many great memories we have made. And they are still little and still so cute! It was really cute what Branson remembered. He remembers a lot of little things. And those little things are very important! It's the little things that count! That's what I am learning from Branson!

Jade And Her Blankie!

When Jade was 6 months old she started holding on to this one particular pink blanket and ever since then she has to have her blanket when she goes to bed, is upset, not feeling well, ect. We just always called it her 'blankie'. Well about 6 months ago (she is almost 2) she started asking where her JuJu was. It took us a couple of days and then realized when she said JuJu she meant her blanket. Some how/reason she named her blanket juju! We don't know where she got that name or why she named her blanket this but it is so cute! I am just impressed that at a 1 1/2 she was able to name her blanket juju and she came up with that name all on her own! I just wonder what she was thinking when she named it! Where did juju come from?? Like I said we never said that name before! Kids are so cute!! I just love how their minds work!!

1. I love little sports cars! Me and Paul always try to have a 3rd car called a party car and its always a sports car to drive when me and Paul just go out or if I am going to the store by myself I will take the party car. We use to have a mustang but sold it about a year ago because it was starting to break down alot. We have been talking about getting something soon. Maybe something like an eclipse. Just a fun little car to drive.

2. I use to be a worrier. I would worry over everything! I would worry about worrying. Over the years I have really worked on this and have gotten much better at "Letting go and Letting God" but I will say since starting school back up that my worrying has reared it ugly head but I am working on it!

3. I love clothes!! I don't like shopping for clothes but I love having clothes!! This last year I have really tried not to buy too many new things because I have a lot of clothes with tags still on them that I have never worn so I am really trying to wear what I have. But I do love clothes!

4. I am a huge animal lover. I can remember when I was little how I just could feel that love I have for animals! I mean REALLY feel that LOVE! My mom always told me to be a vet but there is no way I could deal with losing an animal.

5. Even though I have watched football all my life I still don't understand a lot of the rules. I probably never will.

6. I love dancing!

7. I am addicted to facebook! It is so much fun!

8. I like all food except moon pies! When I was a kid I use to go to a public swimming pool with two friends (they were twin sisters that I grew up with on my block) and their dad would always buy us a moon pie. I was always taught that if someone buys you something you have to eat it no matter what. It took all I had to get those moon pies down! One time we finished our moon pies and their dad asked if we wanted one more. The twins said yes and I said no thank you . Well he came back with a moon pie for me too! He thought I was just being polite not wanting him to spend money on me. Again it took all I had to get that moon pie down. A few years later their dad died and I was really glad I ate those moon pies!

9. I love finding fun little dive bars.

10. I love jewelry!! I love buying jewelry everytime I buy new clothes! Not expensive jewelry but stuff you can get at Target or the mall. Jewelry can really make an outfit shine!!

Passports and Scooters!

Hi! I just wanted to let everyone know I haven't added pictures lately because my laptop ran out
of disc space and so Paul bought me a passport (usb hard drive) to put all my pictures on. Well when I want to pull out a picture I have to hook it up to this little passport and well I have been too scared to try it. I just need Paul to show me how once and then I will be fine but when he is home I never think about asking him to help so I need to remember....

Onto the scooters...For Christmas we got both boys electric scooters. They are so fun and go up to 12 mph. You just plug them in when you are done riding and they charge up. The kids are so cute because they have friends all up and down the block and every day after school they will get their scooters and ride to their friends house to play. It is almost like they have cars. It is so cute! All their friends on our block want one. :) I do have pictures but I will have to wait till I figure out how to get them....

I take my anatomy class downtown and their is no parking close! I would love to bring one of these scooters to ride from where I do park! I am sure I would look so cool! Lol! Oh well the walk is good exercise! On another note in my anatomy class today (The Lab) I was completely confused! We learned about connective tissue which I understand it from the book and the pictures they show in the book but in Lab we pulled out the slides and they all look the same and never look like the pictures in the book. A lot of people were confused about it and then there were the few that totally got it and tried to explain it to the rest of us but I didn't get it today. I am hoping it will click for me! They have an open lab on Sat so I may have to take a trip up there on Sat and see if I can better understand it. Wish me luck!

Wild Cat Of The Week!

Every week at my kid's school they pick a person to be Wild Cat Of The Week and this week it was Branson. He was very excited! We had to do a poster all about him with pictures of him, his family, favorite places, wishes, dreams, what he wants to be when he grows up, ect. They announce his name on the speaker on the morning announcements and the parents can come eat lunch with him for free (you can eat lunch with your kids anytime but have to pay for your lunch, which isn't a big deal). So me and Paul had lunch with Branson at school and he was so excited! All the kids at his table were so cute and all wanted to talk, talk, talk! Kyler came in when Brans' class was done eating and he came over and said hi. We asked if he wanted us to eat with him and he said no. Lol! Aww, the life of a 4th grader! I hate that he is too embrassed to eat lunch with his parents already! I do remember those days well though, so I understand.

Today I had my developmental psyc today and I really like my teacher. She use to be a paramedic, then she went back to school for psycology and got her masters. Then she had a practice and now she teachers and is going for her PH D. She is a very good teacher and very interesting! I love teachers like this because it makes class so much more fun! Today we laughed so much (she is also very funny!).

So all in all today was a very fun day! My hand is sore from writing so much (all the note cards I have been doing for anatomy class). I haven't writen this much in forever!

I Know! I Know! I Know!

Well here is a little school update. My anatomy class is going to be fast and furious and I am a little worried about this. Our first test is in two weeks and it will be over 5 chapters!! And on the same day we will also have our Lab class test! And this first test will be the easiest of all the tests!!! The second test will be over 7 chapters! Whatever happened to going over 1 chapter for a couple of weeks then taking a test? Guess that was back in high school. :)

So the 19 year old in me would of waited till about two days before the test then started studying and reading the 5 chapters. I know this because that is how I use to do it and amazingly I did pass but with C's. So this weekend I read the first 3 chapters and made a million note cards and studied the note cards! Today in class the teacher would ask questions and I felt like that annoying person that would throw up her hand and be like "I know! I know! I know!! Pick me! Pick me! Pick me!!!" Haha! I had never done this before and I was so proud of myself!! Usually I am the one where when the teacher asks the question I pretend to be deeply engrossed in my note taking that I could not possibly answer any questions. Lol!

So we will see what happens on the first test! Maybe my mom was right..." Your smart, you just never apply yourself." It is a different experience to go to class and actually understand what is going on! Can you tell? All my old school issues are coming up! All week I have been having flashbacks from high school and college!

School Update

Well I started school this week! I really like my classes so far. Almost everyone in my Human Anatomy class is going for nursing so it was nice to meet other people with the same goal. Unfortunately we have all been sick this week so I wasn't feeling my best but I pushed through. Jade was sick last week, then Kyler was sick over the weekend, then I came down with it on Sunday night, Paul on Monday and Branson was today. Kyler and Jade are back to their normal happy selves and have been at school all week. Branson missed school today and will probably miss tomorrow. Paul has been in bed since Monday and I would of been in bed but have had to get out to go to school. I didn't want to miss the first week of school. I did pretty good today (I was tanked up on Day Quil) but crashed once I got home. We are all ready to get over this cold. It has been a strange bug because one day you will feel sick, then next day you will feel better like you are getting over it and then the next day you are back to feeling worse than every before. It tricks you. Hope everyone out there is feeling well and I will update again soon!

I got this off another blog so here it goes...

1. Do you like scary movies?
Not anymore. I use to like them when I was younger but now they just seem to be really gross. All blood and guts.

2. What kind of cell phone do you have?
I have a blackberry. Sprint was giving them away free if you upgraded your contract for another 2 years. I love sprint so I had no problem doing the 2 year contract. I love the blackberry. You can check email, facebook, myspace, ect. It is like a mini computer.

3.Do you have a passport?
Yes. Got one when we went to Cabo last summer. My first one!

4. Has anything out of the ordinary happen this week?
Well my daughter did get a rash on her hands and feet this week. Dr said she picked it up from school. It is gone now.

5. Have you broken any bones?
Yes in a car wreck when I was 21. My knee/leg. Had to have knee surgery and have a bolt put in my leg because the bone was too crushed. I set a lot of airport security off. LOL!

6. Did you do anything this week that you normally don't do?
Yes, I am taking two classes and a lab at school starting next week and they are at two different campus so I went to both campus and found where my classes would be. Talk about flashbacks!

7.What's the worst thing you have had in your wardrobe?
Hmmmm.....probably the jeans that were up to your belly button. Back when they were in, not anymore. I am sure there has been way more than that but I try to block it out! Haha!

8. Did you ever have braces?
No! :)

9. Ever win a big sum of money?
Well it wasn't a really big amount but the second time in Vegas I didn't want to spend a lot at the slots so I was joking with our friends and said I was only going to spend a dollar. I put it in and won 150.00 in quarters. I was like 'ok I am done with the slots!' haha!

10. Any big plans coming up?
Well we are trying to decide what to do for Spring Break...maybe Disney?

So here is a quick update. I am going back to school for nursing. My classes start next week on tues Jan 20th! I can't wait to get the first week over with! I only have 4 classes to take before I can apply for the nursing program but have to take my anatomy class before I can take the other 3 classes. I also have a psychology class that i can take now so I am taking 2 classes and a lab this semester. I did have all my math, history, English out of the way so I was really glad that all my classes I took way back when still would count! Back when I was 19 and started college I had thought about being a nurse but had never really been around nurses, hospitals, ect and thought that you had to be as smart as a Dr to be a nurse and I didn't have the confidence to think I could do it. I had really no direction at that time and just took basics (which now I am glad I did that). Well now that I have been around a ton of nurses I realize I could be a nurse. We have had some really great nurses and we have had others. After I get my RN I would really like to work at a dermatolgist office or a plastic surgeons office. I really like skin care and love all the Dr 90210 shows. If that doesn't pan out I would like to work in labor and Delivery. Or I might just be a school nurse and have all the holidays and summers off. I just love all the possibilities! I may even stay in school till I get my masters and then I can be a nurse practitioner. I am really excited about going back to school and actually having a direction this time!

I found this poem on the internet on a dog rescue page. It did pull a string for me. We did find Kia (Our German Shepard) at the pound. She was 9 months old and as big as she is now. She is 11 now and weighs 100pounds. It was an hour before the pound was closing that day and it was her "last" day. I had to do some fast talking to Paul because he was not at all happy about getting a 100 pound dog. She is a fully registered German Shepard and the previous owners had left her papers at the pound for the next owner. The reason they put for not keeping her was "Supose to be daughter's dog and she decided to go to college and she doesn't like cats"

We had 3 days to change our mind and in that 3 days she was the best dog ever!! Not that I would have taken her back if she would have been bad. Once I decide on a animal they stay with me till the end. We had our 2 cats at the time and she didn't mind them one bit in that 3 days! She instiantly bonded with Paul (which drove me crazy!!) and she was just the perfect little angel! I will say thou that during the first 2 or 3 weeks she did have a saddness about her. Even then I knew it was because she missed her previous owner/s. I also knew she didn't really understand why they had left her or why she was now with us.That is why that poem hit a chord with me today when I found it.

Well after the 3 days her true colors came out! She wasn't a bad dog but lets just say she was a very hyper dog with a mind of her own! She did like the cats....well she liked to chase them anyway! One of our cats finally figured out if you didn't run from her she would just go lay down and not bug them but it took our other cat awhile to figure that out. We had to segergate them for awhile.

We saw the movie Marely & Me the other day and that dog reminded me of Kia so much!! It was a really good movie if you get a chance to see it! Anyway we did get Kia in dog training and we learned to handle her. Paul even showed her in dog shows for the first year we had her. I will say our first couple of years with her were tough but like the movie, totally worth it with so many great memories! I will say I have always felt safe with Kia! I know she would give her life to save ours if she had to! That is in the German Shepard blood! She has always been good with the kids and even now is friends with the cats. I catch them all sharing her bed at times.

Kia has been a very special part of our family and I can't imagin life without her!

I have been watching the show Ruby about a woman on a weight loss journey. I really like the show and it is very inspirational. It is on Style Network on Sundays 8/7 c.

She weighed almost 500 pounds when she started and she has lost over 100 pounds. They show reruns through out the week so I have caught up on past episodes. She really has changed from the beginning! On one episode some people started making fun of her. They were adults, not kids, and it made me so mad I wanted to go gives those people a piece of my mind! I can't believe how rude people can be and how mean!! She was going to a restaurant and having a hard time walking up the stairs and the mean people were sitting outside and started making fun of her. It just amazed me that people could do that right to someone's face!

Anyway just thought I would pass this on in case you are looking for a show to watch while most shows are in reruns.

Kyler And Branson's CF Appt

Today was Kyler and Branson's CF appt. Both boys gained 5 pounds! I knew they had gone through a growth spurt! Both also grew taller although I forgot to get the exact number. I know Kyler has really grown taller in the last couple of months. Branson's pfts were the same which means they were all over the place all the way from in the 50's to the 80's. They chalk that up to him being too young to really do it correctly. Kyler's pfts were down to 88 FEV1. Normally he is high 90's. But yesterday he started complaing that his ear hurt and today the Dr comfirmed he had an ear infection so the Dr thinks that is why his pfts are down. They started him on two antibodics for two weeks to knock it out. Both their lungs sounded great. Both boys do not culture anything and all meds are to stay the same except for the two antibodics for Kyler for the next two weeks.

ultrase mt12's

vest 2x a day

Branson-
cephalexin (antibodic) every other month during winter months. We just started this this year and so far (knock on wood) it has worked out great!! Branson has a hard time with colds in the winter and so far so good!!

Kyler-
bactrin (antibodic) and something that starts with an L (antibodic) for the next two weeks to help with the ear infection and anything else that is going on inside.

On another note we ran out of Kyler's enzymes (ultrase mt12s) a few days before his next batch was due with the insurence. The pharmacy gave us one bottle to tied us over so today at their appt I asked for them to write us a new script for more so we wouldn't run out. Can you believe Kyler went through 1100 pills in one month for just food! They upped it to 1200 a month so we wouldn't run out. The amount of pills Kyler and Branson go through a month is amazing to me and they do it without one complaint! They are truely my heros without a doubt!!

The boys nutcracker collection. They started this last year. The nutcracker in the middle was given to me when I was in 3rd grade by one of my friends. This year the baseball nutcracker is Kyler's and the Indiana Jones' is Bransons. The red and green trees Kyler got one year both boys were in the hospital. He bought them at the gift shop and put one in his room and one in Branson's room. Luckily that year we made it home a few days before Christmas!

This is our tree for our front window so passer byers can see it. I could decorate it but...I didn't want to. :)

See the clothes pins with eyes glued to them? When Kyler was 4 he made those for us and was sooooo proud of them! He made them at home and wrapped them all by himself! The snowman was the first Christmas decoration Kyler picked out when he was 2 and I was pregnant with Branson. He carried him everywhere and even slept with him.

My mom is an artist and painted this for me. My dad cuts unique pieces of wood and my mom will paint pictures on it. They are in a woodcravers group and enter contests. They are always winning in competitions. I did not get one drop of that artistic gene! Love this picture!

Chirstmas Tree Ornaments

Ten years ago me and Paul bought our first Christmas tree and ornaments to go on the tree. I was very specific on the ornaments. I had a certain look in mind. I wanted a very upscale looking tree. We spent a fortune on the ornaments and the tree looked fabulous.

Then our kids were born and we started the tradition of putting their picture in an ornament each year and each year the kids pick out an ornament of their choice. Last night I was looking at our tree with all the spidermans, supermans, Doras, baseballs, soccer balls, The Hulk, puppies, cars, starwars figures, all the school made, ect, ect, ect ornaments and couldn't help but cry. Each kid's ornament from over the years has added such beauty I could of never imagined. Each kid's ornament has a story of that year that it was picked out. Each year when the ornaments are going up the kids remember each one and tell the stories of why they had picked that one. It brings back such good memories and the kids remember each one.

Each year more and more of the ornaments that I picked out that first year stay in boxes and I know one year there won't be a trace of those first year's ornaments. But I wouldn't change a thing! Our tree is more beautiful then I could of ever thought possible filled with happy memories from top to bottom with more and more added each year! This is one of my favortie parts of Christmas!

are at The Big Texan. The two men are attempting to eat a 72 ounce steak (72 ounce steak each). If they finish it in an hour they get it for free and get their names on a board if not then they have to pay for their meal, 125.00. They had to finish the steak, salad, bread, baked potato, and veggie. They tell people not to talk to them because they only have an hour to finish and about 3 minutes after they started a ton of people went up to talk to them. LOL! Asking them where they were from, why were they wearing suits, do they think they will finish, ect. We were right up front by them so we could hear what all people were saying to them. I don't know if they finished in time or not because they started when we were finished and with the kids we couldn't wait around for an hour. It was exciting! Base Foundation

Just thought I would share this with you.....a makeup tip, or more of a makeup observation. A friend (I won't name names) a while back stopped wearing base foundation and just wore powder. She just wore powder for about a year maybe longer. Now don't get me wrong, she has beautiful skin and a beautiful complexion so only wearing powder works for her. So the other day I saw her and she looked about 10 years younger (her face) and I thought maybe she had a facelift, or a chemical peel or something because she looked so much younger. I asked her and she said she started wearing base foundation again. I couldn't believe the difference it made! Anyway just thought I would pass that along for anyone wanting a change or maybe have a special occasion coming up and you want to dress it up a little. She said she used a liquid foundation, Revlon. If anyone has a makeup tip they would like to share please comment!

In the winter I love this product....M.D. Forte II Facial Cream with Glycolic Acid. It gets the dead skin off and gives you a nice glow. You can use it all year around but I just use it in the winter. They recommend you start with I and then move up to II because it has a higher Glycolic Acid. They also have a III but I like the II. You can get this at your dermatologist. I usually am able to find it on ebay and you save about 10.00 to 15.00 $ even with shipping.

Hello! I haven't given a diet update in a long time. Back in the summer (yeah, I can't believe it is Nov already either!) I was trying to make a goal weight before going to Cabo in Aug. Well I got within 3 pounds of my goal when we went to Cabo so I was pretty happy!! Once we got to Cabo at our resort they had gourmet buffets and in a moment of weakness I thought...all bets are off, its my vaction! But after about 5 minutes I came back to reality and thought about all the hard work I had done to get to this point and decided I didn't want it to all go out the window. And believe me I can put on 10 pound in a matter of days!! So I worked really hard not to overeat. I ate what I wanted but didn't overeat and didn't go back for seconds. When we got home I had put on 3 pounds but I was pretty happy with that considering what it could of been! I got the 3 pounds back off and I am happy to say that I did get to my goal weight! I have been able to stay at my goal now since sept! I am going to try really hard not to fall off the wagon this winter because I don't want to go through that again. Last winter I really let my self go crazy and it was a lot harder to get back then what I thought. So my goal now is to not fall off the wagon and keep up with diet and exercise. So far so good!

We had a great Halloween! Me and Paul were Bat Girl and Johnny Depp and Eric and Cheryl were Jane Fonda and Richard Simons! Paul was the Johnny Depp pirate and I think he said "Aaarrrrrr" a million times that night! All the kids loved Paul's costume! I think a lot of kids on the block thought he was a real pirate! LOL! And as you can see Eric played his part all night too!! LOL! He was hilarious!!! All the kids got a ton of candy and just had so much fun!! Hope everyone had a great Halloween!!

Austin had a small fair that we went this weekend. It had a few rides and a hotdog stand but the kids had a lot of fun!!! This was the first year that Austin has had one so not many people were there which made it even better as far as no lines for the rides. We had a great Friday night at the fair! ps. That little deer in Jade's pic was so cute and just followed Jade around at the petting zoo. I wanted to take him home!

This past weekend both boys had their end of season baseball tournament. Branson's team
made it through two games but the team did great!! All the players on Brans' team were 1st
timers this season so from the beginning till the end the improvements were amazing!! The last
game at the very end Brans was playing left field and the ball was hit out to him and scoped it
up and a runner had just ran to third and was running home and instead of throwing the ball
Brans ran it in and got the kid out right at home!!! Everyone was talking about it because the
speed that he ran to run that ball in was amazing!! I have never seen him run that fast!!

Kyler played 8 games this weekend!!! They made it to the finals and got second place!! The kids did a great job and they all worked really hard to make it to the finals!! Kyler made a lot of base hits and many trips to home plate!! He did a great job!! The last game for first place was really close and all the kids did really great! Kyler got a troughy that he is really proud of for 2nd place!

Sun night we went to the end of year baseball for Branson's team. We all had a great time and all the kids had a lot of fun with confetti eggs, pinyatas, playing tag, football, baseball, eating pizza. The adults had fun drinking! ha! ha!

Kyler's end of baseball party is in a couple of weeks and guess what they are doing.....Going to a UT game!!! And they get to meet the players!!! Kyler's coach knows the UT coach so all the kids are supper excited!! I will take lots of pictures when that day comes!!
